Please raise your hand if you do not like the April Baseline. Please keep your hand up if you are a liar! Everyone liked the April Baseline! It’s light, fast, varied, AND there is a reasonable built-in rest. The workout starts on the floor, works its way up the body, goes over head, repeats it all, and then the
icing on the cake, cherry on top, happy ending Burpees. Form, speed, and will can make the difference in this workout. So if your mental game is a tad off, this is a great workout to sharpen that skill.
Not a whole lot to say about the workout, but I would like to talk about the photo contest. I have received pictures of Olympic lifters in Maryland, competitors from California, a crossfitting transformer (yes, you read that right), but I have not received enough pictures from the RCBB folk! If you are missing some inspiration, then think of what you do in the gym and see how it can fit in the outside world. Do an Air Squat on the train. Do a Pull Up on a Pull Up appropriate bar in a park. Go walk into your kitchen and do a Turkish Get-Up with a gallon of milk. Do a Handstand in your office. Wake up your kids and do an Overhead Squat WITH them (don’t do that!!! yet!!! practice a lot more with a bar first).
It does make for a good picture though,
